Principal Charity Classic 2024 raises record $8.6 million for Iowa youth

The Principal Charity Classic announced today that the 2024 tournament has raised a record $8.6 million to support Iowa youth. The annual PGA TOUR Champions event in Des Moines has now raised $62 million for Iowa children’s charities since Principal Financial Group became the title sponsor in 2007. “2024 has been an exciting and successful year for the Principal Charity Classic. The course renovations have produced great golf featuring world-class talent,” said Ken McCullum, chairman of the Principal Charity Classic. “Reaching the $62 million milestone in charitable giving is a testament to what can be accomplished when the community comes together.”
