After information was received that a class 3 student had fallen unconscious on the playground, she was rushed to the nearby Fatima Hospital, the principal said

A 9-year-old student at the Montfort School died of cardiac arrest while playing on the school grounds, the school principal said Saturday.

According to a statement released by the school principal on Thursday, a class 3 student, Manvi Singh, who fell unconscious on the playground, was rushed to the nearby Fatima Hospital.

The girl’s family took her to Chandan Hospital, where doctors declared her dead of cardiac arrest, the director said.

The matter also came to the attention of the police, but the girl’s family has said that no action is being taken.

After information was received about the girl’s death, a day off was declared at school on Friday.
