Free agent running back Kareem Hunt could be a nice addition for fantasy football managers in Week 3.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Tuesday that Hunt is expected to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he will replace injured running back Isiah Pacheco.

Hunt led the NFL with 1,327 rushing yards during his rookie season in 2017 with the Chiefs before being fired in 2018.

According to ESPN, Pacheco is expected to be out for six to eight weeks after suffering a fibula injury on Sunday. Adam Schefter.

It’s not yet clear where Hunt will fit on the Chiefs’ depth chart alongside UDFA rookie Carson Steele and veteran Samaje Perin, but it’s likely all three will see more of the ball in Pacheco’s absence.
