New green space at Becky G Primary School improves learning, wellbeing and community ties

INGLEWOOD, Calif., Sept. 17, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — With the start of the school year in full swing, The Vita Coco Company, Inc. (NASDAQ: COCO) has partnered with international recording artist, actress, activist and Vita Coco Brand Ambassador—Becky G—to build a new green space at her elementary school in Inglewood, California. The green space, which opens today at Oak Street Elementary School, is a new initiative from the company’s social impact program, the Vita Coco Project (VCP), which focuses on strengthening communities.

Becky G, a proud hometown advocate, returned to Inglewood today to celebrate the green space’s grand opening during a dedication ceremony at Oak Street Elementary School. The school will be named through a process involving the entire Oak Street school community.
