Improvements are being made at Illinois American Water’s plant in Pontiac

Illinois American Water continues to invest in its Pontiac District water treatment plant infrastructure. Two major projects are underway:

Replacing a pump with high service costs
This project will replace four existing high-service pumps that have reached the end of their useful life with three new pumps that are sized to efficiently serve Pontiac’s water supply system. The new pumps will enable the water treatment plant to deliver a wide range of flow rates to meet the needs of the community.
