Harrison Central appoints homecoming court | News, sports, jobs



Harrison Central High School celebrates homecoming with its annual bonfire Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The fire starts at 7 p.m. This year the event will take place between Wallace Lodge and the Mark at the Park stage. Food vendors, cornhole and spikeball will be some of the featured activities. The annual homecoming parade will be held on Friday. The lineup starts at the school, continues to the plaza, enters the Stephenson Center parking lot and continues to the side entrance of Wagner Field. Each class in grades nine through 12 will decorate a float and participate in the parade. Male class supervisors and king candidates will be announced prior to the football match at 6 p.m. Then the king is crowned. Female class attendants and queen candidates are announced at halftime, when the queen is crowned. Harrison will have his homecoming dance at school on Saturday. Attendees, along with the queen and king candidates, include Kelsey Powers and Andrew Mattern, first-year supervisors; Bailey Smith and Austin Dulkoski, second-year supervisors; Jaiden Pelegreen and Dylan Walters, junior supervisors; and queen and king candidates Kaily Banal and Blake Atkins, AnnMarie Corder and Markus Hilbert, Taylor Nemeth and Anthony Pelegreen, Avri Puskarich and Mykel Quito and Shyloh Utter and Tucker Snyder.
