It is set in 1977, during the days of the Argentine dictatorship commanded by General Videla and others. Starring former pilot and captain of the Argentine Navy, Tomás Kóblic (Ricardo Darin), who took part in “the flights of death” during the last Argentine dictatorship. Argentina’s military dictatorship has chosen to throw political prisoners into the sea from naval aircraft as a new means of execution. Former Navy Captain Tomas Kóblic is the unwitting pilot of one such flight, and when he discovers the gruesome fate of his passengers, he makes a difficult decision at the most painful crossroads in his life. As he disobeys an order and becomes a fugitive to survive. Along the way, Koblic falls in love with a young woman (Imma Cuesta) who is being abused by her abusive husband. Ricardo Darin gives a good performance as Tomás Kóblic, who leaves the air force because he did not want to follow wrong orders during the time of the military dictatorship in Argentina. Darin is an excellent leading actor in the most important Argentine films. He has been working since he was a little boy, and has made a remarkable evolution over the years from soap opera gallante and TV comedies.
