Bay County Sports Hall of Fame honors the 2024 induction class

BAY CITY, MI – They just went from hometown heroes to local legends.

Seven individuals and two teams highlighted the 2024 induction class for the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame, which hosted nearly 300 attendees Sunday at the 33rd annual banquet at the DoubleTree hotel and conference center.

Jeff Boks, Pat Corcoran, Justin Laskowski, Scott Peterson, Angie Rosich Johnson, Roger Szafranski and Mark Wittbrodt joined the 1994 Bay City Central football team and the 1994 Bay City Central volleyball team to receive honors. Longtime Central Public Address announcer Mike Vincent received the President’s Award.

Their names will be added to the Hall of Fame exhibit at the Dow Bay Area YMCA and forever enshrined in local sports history.

The banquet will air later this week on Bay County TV and will also be available on YouTube.

The Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2025. Anyone can nominate a candidate by December 31 by emailing [email protected].
