An eleven-year-old boy has died four days after he was hit by a car on his way home from school.

The boy, who has not been named, collided with a Nissan Qashqai outside King’s School in Chester at around 5.12pm on Tuesday, November 12.

He was rushed to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, more than 20 miles away.

The boy was treated for serious injuries but died on Saturday morning, Cheshire police said.

The driver of the car, a 28-year-old woman from Wrexham, was uninjured and no arrests have been made, police added.

Police are renewing their appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dashcam or CCTV footage.

Cheshire Police said the boy’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
