Meet the finalists for Oregonian/OregonLive Girls Soccer Player of the Year

The Player of the Year award is judged by The Oregonian/OregonLive staff, taking into account season statistics and state championship results.

The girls’ footballer of the year award will be announced on November 27.

Here are the finalists for Oregonian/OregonLive Volleyball Player of the Year. See below to vote for who you think should be the winner.

The Jesuit girls soccer team will take on Grant in the OSAA Class 6A state championship game on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024.Aaron Brewer for The Oregonian/OregonLive

Paige Nakada, Grant

Nakada, who is signed with the University of San Francisco, might not get the attention of scorers Nailani Soloman or Kate Ratanaproeksa on a Generals team that was No. 2 in scoring this fall. But Grant allowed just five goals this fall and Nakada in defense formed a large part of the team’s back line, keeping 15 teams from scoring.

Frances Reuland, Lincoln

On a team that has a new head coach, only two current seniors and parted ways with Alana Harry (Texas Tech) and Kennedy Fletcher (Arizona) last spring, Reuland was a big part of the Lincoln squad that went 11-4-2 and reached the state quarterfinals this year.

OSAA Class 5A Girls Soccer State Championship: Wilsonville vs. Bend

The Wilsonville Wildcats will take on the Bend Lava Bears in the OSAA 5A girls soccer state championship game at Hillsboro Stadium on Saturday, November 16, 2024.Aaron Brewer for The Oregonian/OregonLive

Camryn Schaan, Wilsonville

For the fourth straight season, Wilsonville ends the fall with a girls soccer state championship. Schaan was a force this fall. She led the team with 21 goals and 13 assists. And Schaan comes up big in big moments for the Wildcats. She now has at least one goal and one assist in three straight state championship games.
