Wisconsin class of 2026 targets Leo Delaney Badgers among finalists

Leo Delaney, Wisconsin’s top 2026 interior offensive lineman, included the Badgers in his list of final schools on Monday.

Delaney becomes the fifth-highest ranked class of 2026 recruit that Wisconsin inducted into its latest crop of schools last month, joining four-star running back Shahn Alston, four-star linebacker Tristan Phillips, four-star and iOL Ben Nichols and three-star interior lineman Bear McWhorter.

Delaney, who received his offer from the Badgers on September 17, included Wisconsin as a finalist along with Clemson, Michigan, NC State, Penn State, Tennessee, Nebraska and Georgia. Delaney has a total of 31 offers, which also includes top programs Alabama, Auburn, Indiana, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Oregon, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-1, 280-pound iOL is 247Sports’ No. 61 player in the class of 2026, the No. 4 iOL and the No. 6 player from his home state of Ohio. ESPN, On3, 247Sports and Rivals all consider Delaney a four-star recruit.

Delaney has not yet received any predictions from recruitment agencies. With almost a year left before the recruiting battle really heats up, it appears the Badgers are entering the process with an even chance to land the four-star.

At Providence Day High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, Delaney has appeared on both offense and defense. From 2023 to 2024, he has blocked four kicks and recorded 47 total tackles, according to MaxPreps.

UW’s current class of 2026 has two commitments: three-star iOL Benjamin Novak and three-star quarterback Jarin Mock. The program’s 2025 class is ranked No. 21 in the nation with 25 committed players
